How to sell your clothes and shoes to Rumors
We buy clothes, shoes, and accessories seasonally! We are currently buying for Summer. Items are selected and priced by our trained buyers based on customer demands, trends, conditions, styles, and details of each piece.
You can sell your items for cash by appointment or walk in to sell for store credit during our buying hours!
Please bring a valid picture ID and make sure your items are clean! We will have you fill out a buy sheet that is full of more detailed information on how the selling process works, and we will give you an estimated time wait. Generally, waits are under 30 minutes but during busy season times can greatly increase. You can shop while you wait or we ask that you stay close by so you can come to collect your payment promptly when we text or call you.
Sell For Store Credit:
Customers can walk in any day during our buying hours without an appointment to sell for store credit, which allows you to receive 50% of the total amount we priced your items at in store credit.
All items must be washed and clean. You may bring in up to 2 bags worth a day. One IKEA size bag/bin counts as 2 bags (no hangers please).
Before heading in please check your bags for socks, underwear, and undergarments and make sure your items are washed (if it’s been sitting in your trunk or closet for weeks, we can tell 😇)
We can not do any buys that contain any wired bras, socks, or underwear (bralettes are fine).
We have the right to refuse to go through a bag that contains dirty, unsanitary items.
After we select and price out what we would like to buy, we offer 50% of each items selling price in store credit! Store credit gets stored in our system and can be used in any Rumors location, it never expires!
Sell For Cash:
By booking a cash appointment, you will receive 35% of the total price for your items that are purchased by our trained buyers.
If you sign up for a cash appointment, store credit will not be offered.
All items must be washed and clean. You may bring in up to 4 trash bags or tote bins (no hangers please).

You must have 25 pieces to book an appointment. If you have fewer than 25 items, please call the store to see if we can fit you in on any day. We don't take walk-ins for cash, regardless of quantity.
